With production starting in 2027, Element Fuels’ hydrogen-powered refinery will produce some of the cleanest fuels in the United States. This is made possible by using our innovative approach to power generation combined with the latest advanced technologies provided by some of the world’s leading power generation and engineering firms. We are setting a new standard for clean, green refining.
Now in Phase I of construction, Element Fuels’ refinery will serve as an industry-leading example of the sustainable economy by using excess hydrogen to produce low carbon intensity fuels. The hydrogen-powered refinery is designed to process exclusively high gravity domestic shale oil into low-carbon intensity fuels that will materially reduce carbon emissions. In addition, the company is constructing a natural gas combined-cycle power plant with the capability to incorporate hydrogen to generate utility-scale electricity which will be made available to ERCOT to support the surrounding community’s needs.
